Hiragana Attempt

 The following is my attempt to write "I like Pokemon."　わたし　りけ　ぽけもん It is probably wrong but I wanted to give it a shot. 

First Post

Welcome Honorable Ladies and Gentlemen to my first blog post! To be entirely frank, I believe that this class is going to be quite challenging for myself due to the fact that I have had no prior study in Japanese language and that Japanese is one of if not the hardest languages to learn as a native English speaker. However, thus far I have enjoyed my time in class and am willing to persevere and stick with it until the end. I choose to study Japanese in particular for two reasons. The first is due to the fact that I am in AFROTC, and when I commission I would like to be stationed there over any other base internationally. The second reason is because I have a fascination for Japanese history and would eventually like to study abroad there. I am excited to get to the point where I can make out every few words on an anime or sports broadcast and to really see the progress that I have made over the course of the semester.
